suede
Suede (suede) impresses with its particularly soft, velvety surface, which makes it so desirable. The rough texture and the elegant, matte appearance give the material a timeless charm. It conveys a feeling of luxury and elegance, but is also valued for its robustness and durability. A characteristic of suede is its open-pored surface, which not only gives it its special feel, but also makes it more breathable than many other types of leather.
Use:
Suede leather has a wide range of uses. Due to its soft texture and luxurious look, it is often used for fashion accessories such as bags, shoes and jackets. It is also in demand in the furniture industry because of its elegant look and feel.
Suede is particularly popular in shoe fashion because of its stylish yet robust character. Whether for elegant ankle boots or casual sneakers – suede gives every outfit a special touch.
How do you care for suede?
Proper care of suede is essential to preserve its natural beauty. As it is more susceptible to dirt and moisture, it requires regular and careful care:
• Lubrication : To care for suede, we recommend using the Lubricant 02 , which has been specially developed to keep the leather supple and protect it from drying out without affecting its velvety structure.
We do not recommend conventional waterproofing agents as they are not suitable for suede as they can seal and damage the sensitive surface.
• Brushing : Use a special suede brush to remove dust and dirt from the surface. This will keep the leather clean and the fibers retain their soft structure.
• Avoid direct sunlight : Suede leather may fade in direct sunlight, so store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
